Workshop Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling Terms
Workshops at Jack & Rose England are taught personally by Lisa Kinrade. These terms explain how bookings and changes are handled, so you know what to expect before reserving your session.
Booking and payment
Workshops are arranged by enquiry, subject to availability. Before you book, I’ll confirm your chosen project, date, start time, approximate duration, participant numbers and total price.
A deposit of £25 per person secures your booking. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received and I have sent your confirmation.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the workshop. For bookings made within 14 days of the session, full payment is required to confirm the booking.
If payment is overdue, I’ll contact you before releasing the date.
What is included
The price includes tuition, materials for your chosen project, use of workshop tools and light refreshments, unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation.
Any optional extras will be agreed and priced before booking.
Cancelling your booking
Please let me know as soon as possible by replying to your booking email.
If you cancel at least 14 calendar days before the workshop, I’ll refund the payments you have made, including your deposit.
If you cancel less than 14 calendar days before the workshop, a cancellation charge may apply. This will be limited to the reasonable net loss caused by the cancellation, taking account of costs saved and whether the place or session can be rebooked. It will never exceed the price of the cancelled booking.
I’ll make reasonable efforts to refill the place or session, explain any deduction and refund the remaining amount. The same approach applies if you do not attend.
These arrangements also apply if only some members of a group cancel.
Changing your date
With at least 14 calendar days’ notice, you may move your booking once without a change fee, subject to availability. Payments already made will transfer to the new date. Please agree and attend the replacement session within six months of the original date.
For requests made with less than 14 calendar days’ notice, I’ll do my best to help. A free transfer cannot be guaranteed; any charge will reflect the reasonable net loss from changing the original booking and will be explained before you decide.
If you change to a different workshop, any difference in price will be agreed beforehand.
Sending someone in your place
You may transfer your place to another suitable participant without a transfer fee. Please contact me beforehand so I can confirm that the project is appropriate for them and provide the joining information.
Illness or unexpected circumstances
If illness or an emergency affects your attendance, please get in touch promptly. I’ll consider the circumstances and discuss the available options with you. The cancellation and rescheduling terms above will normally apply.
If I need to cancel or rearrange
If I cannot run your workshop, I’ll contact you as soon as possible. You may choose an alternative date or receive a full refund of all payments made for the affected session.
You will not be required to accept a replacement date or credit.
Experience and accessibility
Please read the experience guidance for your chosen project before booking. Some projects involve more stitching and detailed handwork than others.
If you have access requirements or would like to discuss an adaptation, please contact me before booking so we can consider what will work for you.
Bookings involving anyone under 18 must be discussed and agreed in advance.
During the workshop
Please follow the instructions given for using tools and equipment safely. Machinery may only be used with my permission and appropriate supervision.
Workshop durations are approximate and depend on the project and participants’ pace. I’ll provide guidance throughout, although individual results will naturally vary.
Please arrive ready to start at the agreed time. If you are delayed, contact me as soon as possible. It may not be possible to extend the session or cover every stage following a late arrival.
Refunds and your rights
Any refund due will be made within 14 days of its amount being agreed, normally using the original payment method.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
